Start Taunus
Welcome at Start Taunus
We, Regionalverkehre Start Deutschland GmbH – start for short – are operating the sub-net Taunus on behalf of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsbund (RMV) including the following routes:
- RB12 Königstein – Kelkheim – Frankfurt/Höchst – Frankfurt Main Station
- RB15 Brandoberndorf – Usingen (- Friedrichsdorf) – Frankfurt Main Station
- RB16 Friedberg – Friedrichsdorf (– Bad Homburg)
The RB11 is currently closed for train traffic until further notice; a regular RMV bus service is operating here.
Current information
RB16 – cancellation of all trains from 8pm on February 4th
Due to maintenance work, all trains on the RB16 from 8pm will be canceled on February 4th. A rail replacement service (SEV) is in place, please note the modified departure times of the busses.

RB15 – train 24440 at 15:48 from Bad Homburg cancelled till January 31st
Until January 31st train number 24440 at 15:48 from Bad Homburg to Grävenwiesbach will be canceled due to a lack of vehicles. Passengers are requested to use the train earlier or later.
RB15 – Rail replacement service in the evening
Due to construction work on the HLB infrastructure, there will be no services on the RB15 between Bad Homburg and Brandoberndorf from Monday to Thursday evenings from 8 p.m. to midnight and in the opposite direction from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. from January 6 to 30, 2025. A rail replacement service (SEV) with buses has been set up. Please note the changed departure times of the SEV.

RB12 – IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Due to an understaffed signal box, the RB12 will only run between Königstein and Frankfurt Höchst between 20:00 and 23:50 until further notice (the Frankfurt Höchst – Frankfurt Hbf section will be canceled). Passengers can alternatively use the S1, the journey time is extended by around 10 minutes.
