RB 12 – closure January 22 – 25, 2026

Due to work on the Regional Tangente West (RTW), the RB 12 line will be closed to rail traffic from January 22 to 25, 2026 (end of service). A rail replacement service (SEV) with buses will be provided from/to Frankfurt Höchst. Passengers are requested to use the S-Bahn or other local trains to/from Frankfurt Höchst. The journey time will be extended by approximately 10 minutes.
On Sunday, January 25, the S-Bahn line will also be closed, and a rail replacement service will be provided to/from Frankfurt Central Station.

RB 12 – SIGNIFICANT DELAY BETWEEN LIEDERBACH – FRANKFURT HÖCHST, JANUARY 26–30, 2026

Due to track restrictions at Frankfurt-Höchst station in connection with construction work on the Regionaltangente West (RTW), there will be a delay of at least 18 minutes on the RB 12 between Liederbach and Frankfurt-Höchst from January 26 to January 30, 2026. We kindly ask our passengers to check the daily updates in the RMV and DB timetable information.

RB 12 – partial closure between Frankfurt Höchst and Frankfurt Hbf, January 3 – February 27

Due to a series of construction measures, the section between Frankfurt Central Station and Frankfurt Höchst will be closed from January 3 to February 27, 2026. Passengers are requested to use the S1 line instead. The journey time will be extended by approximately 10 minutes.

RB 15 – rail replacement service from 9 p.m. from January 5 to 29

Due to tree cutting work by VHT, the RB 15 will not be running from January 5 to 29, 2026, Monday to Thursday from 9 p.m. A rail replacement service (SEV) with buses will be provided from 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. respectively.

RB 15 – Partial suspension Friedrichsdorf – Bad Homburg till February 22

Due to work on the electronic signal box in Friedrichsdorf, the RB 15 will only run to/from Friedrichsdorf until the end of service on February 22, 2026. During the construction work, RB 15 trains will start and end at Friedrichsdorf on track 1. Passengers are requested to use the S5 for onward travel to/from Bad Homburg or Frankfurt Central Station. Trains normally departing from Frankfurt Central Station will run as scheduled, with the exception of the first train and the 5:05 p.m. train from Frankfurt. Trains normally arriving at Frankfurt Central Station will run as scheduled, with the exception of the first train and the 4:42 p.m. train to Frankfurt.

RB 16 – Closure till February 22

Due to work on commissioning the electronic signal box in Friedrichsdorf, the RB 16 line is expected to remain closed to rail traffic from December 3,2025 until February 22, 2026. A rail replacement service (SEV) with buses has been set up.
