Start Taunus
Welcome at Start Taunus
We, Regionalverkehre Start Deutschland GmbH – start for short – are operating the sub-net Taunus on behalf of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsbund (RMV) including the following routes:
- RB11 Bad Soden – Sulzbach – Frankfurt/Höchst (- Kelkheim)
- RB12 Königstein – Kelkheim – Frankfurt/Höchst – Frankfurt Main Station
- RB15 Brandoberndorf – Usingen (- Friedrichsdorf) – Frankfurt Main Station
- RB16 Friedberg – Friedrichsdorf (– Bad Homburg)
Current information
RB15 – PARTIAL CLOSURE 12 JULY – 26 JULY 2024
Due to maintenance work on the infrastructure, the RB15 can only run between Usingen and Bad Homburg from 12 July in the evening until 26 July 2024. A rail replacement service (SEV) with buses from/to Usingen has been organized for our passengers.

RB12 – ONLY TO FRANKFURT HÖCHST
Due to sleeper renewal work, the RB12 will run from 22 July from 10 p.m. to 25 July 4 a.m. and from 29 July from 11 p.m. to 01 August 4 a.m. only between Königstein and Frankfurt Höchst (the section Frankfurt Höchst – Frankfurt Hbf is cancelled).
Passangers can alternatively use the S1, the journey time is extended by around 10 minutes.

RB15 – PARTIAL CLOSURE 27 JULY – 11 AUGUST 2024
Due to maintenance work on the infrastructure, the RB15 can only run between Grävenwiesbach and Bad Homburg verkehren from 12 July in the evening until 26. July 2024. A rail replacement service (SEV) with buses from/to Grävenwiesbach has been organized for our passengers.

RB 11 – CANCELLATION
Due to construction work on the regional tangent west (RTW), the RB 11 trains will be cancelled from 29 March 2024 until further notice.

RB 12 – IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Due to an understaffed signal box, the RB 12 will only run between Königstein and Frankfurt Höchst from 19 February until further notice between 20:00 and 23:30 (the Frankfurt Höchst – Frankfurt Hbf section will be cancelled). Passengers can alternatively use the S1, the journey time is extended by around 10 minutes. Please click here for the timetable.
